The Future

Once the database of venues has been built up
this site will have a professional revamp and will then run as an ethical business
with a proportion of the revenue being donated to charity.

Do YOU have a venue that is accessible to all?
Great.  Please contact me so that it can be included in this directory.

Own a holiday business?
Don't miss out on
"Purple" pound

There is a huge and growing market of people with disabilities looking to vacation, enjoy a theme park and more.
If your organisation's buildings and facilities aren't accessible to autistic people you could be missing out on a great many customers and visitors.

As an autism expert - and a full time carer myself - I am aware how vital holidays are.  We all need a time and place where we  can chill out, relax and simply "be" without the pressures of the daily grind.

On searching around I found that although a few places offered holidays and breaks geared to people with autism there was no single "go-to" site where people could find information about a wide range of holidays.

This site aims to address that lack.

It currently contains links to some holiday venues although more places and countries will gradually be added.  It also contains a list of other resources which might be helpful, such as organisations that provide carers; links to funding help; toilets; sensory friendly places etc.

Sensory World
This is based around a virtual house where visitors can go from room to room finding different activities to complete, and learning lots of new things. This engaging site allows you to follow as many activities as you want to, and then print your own personal certificate to celebrate your achievements.
